INET was founded by the late Don Davies and Joyce Epstein in 1991 as an informal,
international network. It includes over 300 scholars from over 30 nations who study many
aspects of school, family, and community partnerships.

INET convenes every other year at the start of AERA for researchers to report new work on family and community engagement, share ideas, and renew friendships.
