2016 Partnership Award Winners

The National Network of Partnership Schools (NNPS) at Johns Hopkins University is pleased to announce that 10 schools, 5 districts, and 2 organizations earned 2016 Partnership Awards. These sites show how to develop and sustain research-based, goal-linked programs of school, family, and community partnerships. They use NNPS research-based approaches and tailor practices for family and community engagement to meet the needs and interests in their own communities.

At each policy level, the award winners are strengthening leadership, building structures, and conducting practices that enable all families to feel welcome at their children’s schools. Each award winner is conducting activities that engage families in ways that contribute to student achievement and other indicators of success.

The winning programs received an award plaque and a certificate that may be used to renew NNPS renew membership in NNPS for the next school year, or for other NNPS products and services. One district and four schools earned Special Recognition prizes of $500 for their progress and promise (see *).
